Flooded China Omits Thousands

Floods in China this year are vey awful, causing almost 1000 people considered to be dead or missing. These was the biggest, most destructive floods that has happened in China this year. Also, it holds the highest in amounts of victims since 1998.




Up until now, almost 3/4 of China is covered by water. water levels has been increasing lately and has already surpassed The Three Stooges Dam. Along YangTze river, water drfits across houses and cities, which caused landslide. Yang Tze river along with 24 other rivers across China have been surpassed by water.

Not only flood, but also typhoon season in China keep the heat up. Tropical storm in Chanthu will hit China's southern island of Hainan and Guangdong province this weekend, to the total of 8-10 typhoons occured in China.

China government estimated about 142.2 billion yuan ($21 billion) total loss because of the terrible floods and more than 600.000 houses are drown.

Nose Bleeding

Nowadays, nose bleeding can't be underestimated anymore. Doctors these days can predict someone's illness from their nose bleed. Many parents also got worried much seeing their kids nosebleeding. Nosebleeding could be a serious threat or just minor injuries.



Basically, nosebleed is a circumstance where there is a disturbance which makes blood vessels in our nose to break and squirt blood. The blood vessels in our nose are so fragile that even a change in weather could cause nosebleed. The most common nosebleed is from the anterior part of nose.

Here are the causes of nosebleed :
1. traffic accidents, sports (boxing are the most common), and anything that gives nose a considerable damage.
2. sinusitis or nose inflammatory
3. Diseases such as, high blood pressure, hemophillia, etc.

Nosebleeding usually stops by thrombosis. First thing you should do when nosebleeding is squeezing your front nose approximately 3 minutes. If the blood is still coming out, it best to see the doctor. Nosebleeding rarely cause death except if the face artery leaks and blood comes unstoppably from the nose. There's no other way except surgery.

There are several myths about nosebleeding :
1. in 470-410 BC, doctors cast a certain spell to stop nosebleeding
2. betel leaf is being used for ages to stop nosebleeding. scroll over the leaf and insert it to the nose.

Storm Strikes Jupiter

As we all know, storm is a kind of disturbancs in the atmosphere causing strong wind
and changing weather. A windstorm could cause a great loss to the are where the storm strike because it could generates tornadoes.
The strongest storm ever occured on earth is the Camille in 1969. a wind speed so strong (190 mph) across Cuba, Missisipi, until it reached United States caused a massive damage with total loss of 8.4 million dollars.

However, instead of storms on earth, they also occur on other planet. The storms on other planet are no match than on earth. The greatest storm ever recorded is on Jupiter with 348 mph of wind speed. Well, enough power to put a hole onto your body...

The storm was called Little Red Spot (LRS), because from earth, it looks like a little red spot. It occured in 1998 when 2 minor storms crushed each other and then strike the third wave of storm in 2000. LRS has been keeping on increasing its speed until 400 mph. The unique thing about LRS is its colour. It is unreasonably RED coloured !!!


NASA still haven't found the truth yet about this strange phenomenon. They suspect the intensity and wind speed of LRS also carries gaseous materials from the planet's surface and it turns red when ultraviolet ray hits it.

It's a good thing we humans don't live on Jupiter. ^_^

The Movie That Makes Your Brain Twisted

When we were talking about the title of this post, we would think movies like "DaVinci Code", or "Angels and Demons", etc. This time, I will be reviewing about a movie called Inception, a brand new movie which has just boomed publicly and I seriously suggest it to be a must-watch.



"Inception" is a Sci-Fi movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio, Ken Watanabe, and many famous actors. The story takes place in the world of dreams where one could meet another person in someone's dream. Thus, it becomes a carrer for Cobb (Leonardo Dicaprio) and his team which was called "Extractor". Extractors are professional people who could steal the idea of a dream, and use it to collect information from the targetted person. Extractors require a great knowledge of architecture and imagination to build a dream based on an idea.

Cobb and his team are assigned for a task from his company hiring him to uncover a company's secret from the mind of Fisches, a young succesor of COBOL company. This task isn't just ordinary task, because Fisches has strong minds that could prevent extractors from sneaking to his dream. Cobb deals with a lot of things, including his terrible past, which is carved inside his mind.


The Actors


This movie is very complicated for most people, because it's dealing with understanding of dreams and the complexity of architecture is being shown there. But, the extraordinary special effects seem defeat other sci-fi movies and the graphic is also beautiful, since the budget wasn't low as well( $ 160 million).

Armenia, Kingdom of Chess

Armenia maybe one of the countries we aren't familiar with. It's one of the Uni Soviet's pieces after the breakdown of Uni Soviet, a europe-asian country which has suffered quite a lot from genocides and conflicts.



Despite of poor economy, Armenia appears to be home for professional chess players. Many chess masters come from Armenia, and they are praised there as celebrities. Chess games are always become hot news. This prooves that Armenians sure love chess.

China, Rusia, and United States are prooves of Armenian's skillful chess players. Armenian's national chess team won gold in 2006 and 2008. 30 grandmasters of 1000 top chess players are also come from Armenia.

The history of how Armenians have their interest in chess starts with Tigran Petrosians, a legendary chess player. Tigran was the first person representing Armenia in chess championship against Mikhail Botvinnik from Rusia. after 22 games, Tigran received absolute victory and become such high hopes and festivals were being held there



Since that time, chess has become a national pride of Armenia and has been growing a lot until now. Levon Aronian, the world fifth rank of chess masters, shares us the secrets of Armenian's skillful people. Armenians are superior when it comes to chess because basically, Armenians are individualistic and prefers individual games rather than sprts, like soccer, etc. Also, all national players are given salaries, out of the prize money.

Nowadays, chess has been a tradition for Armenians, and schools are also part of it. Chess is being a compulsory to school's curicullum. They have high hopes for the next younger chess players to be the best in chess across the world.
